Soak

Cashmere blooms naturally, no agitation needed.

Steam

Reveal that incredible halo of softness.

Love

Rock your slow fashion masterpiece again and again.

Handwashing

Because of the delicate nature of cashmere fibres, I recommend washing by hand with cool water and a gentle wool wash. Let soak for 15-20 min without agitating to allow the fibres to bloom naturally.

Studio Tip: For an added layer of protection, I always place my knits in a mesh laundry bag while soaking.

Drying & Blocking

Do not wring dry. Instead make a towel burrito to squeeze out excess water.

Lay flat to dry and gently reshape while damp.

Finishing

Once fully dry, lightly steam to fully awaken that irresistible halo. Just remember not to touch the fibres directly with the hot iron!

Now go enjoy your one-of-a-kind cashmere treasure as often as your heart desires.

Maintenance

Cashmere is incredibly soft and drapey but lacks structural memory. Storing it flat allows the fibres to relax and maintain their shape. Never hang your pieces to avoid permanent stretching.

To protect your precious stash, store in a breathable cotton bag or sealed container when not in use.

Studio Tip: I love storing my cashmere alongside a 100% wool dryer ball soaked with a few drops of essential oil to maintain freshness.

Because cashmere is a natural, delicate protein fibre, some pilling is normal and expected during its lifecycle. These tiny pills can be safely and easily removed using a dedicated cashmere brush or electric fabric shaver. With occasional care, your heirloom piece will remain smooth and beautiful for years to come.
